Digital trunking pioneer HBFEC joins TCCA

Hebei Far East Communication System Engineering Co. Ltd (HBFEC) has joined TCCA, the representative body for critical communications worldwide.

HBFEC, an integrated communication equipment manufacturer and solution supplier, was one of the first companies involved in the field of research and development for digital trunked communication systems. The company entered the public security communication and software development market in 2003 and was founded in 1995 in Shijiazhuang, the capital and largest city of North China's Hebei Province.

The company’s portfolio of ICT, private communication networks and public security and emergency response solutions are used by the air defence, government, electricity, transportation, public health, environmental and smart city sectors. In China its products are in use across 70 per cent of the the country’s electric power private communication and dispatch network market, run on more than 140 rail traffic lines in 40 cities, and in more than 300 command centres.

“With an outstanding history of communications innovation, in particular its success in China with the TETRA open standard, we look forward that the value HBFEC will bring to TCCA, and to working with the HBFEC team to promote the use of open standards in China and around the world,” said TCCA chief executive Tony Gray.
