Hytera Mobilfunk Sucursal del Peru has been awarded a maintenance contract for the National Peruvian Police TETRA Network, which will take place over 27 months and includes the service, maintenance and upgrade of the existing TETRA network in the cities of Lima, Callao and Trujillo.

Five sites will increase the existing coverage to new areas of the Lima region. Hytera Mobilfunk Sucursal del Peru was opened by Hytera Mobilfunk as a permanent office and centre of competence in Lima, Peru, in September 2014. It has since won contacts from both the public and private sector, including a recent contract with the Peruvian government, which began at the start of 2016 and took advantage of Hytera's ACCESSNET-T IP TETRA radio system.

Hytera integrated new handsets for emergency services in the district of Los Olivos, in the province of Lima, to allow public safety forces to react quicker in emergencies. This required a total of 150 PT580H handheld radios, two stationary MT680 radios and AVL applications being added into the existing system operated by the Policía Nacional del Perú (PNP).
