Motorola Solutions senior product manager, Richard Martin, looks at the connected patrol vehicle (CPV) on display at Critical Communications World 2014.
The CPV gives officers a 'virtual partner' that scans the environment with automatic license plate recognition and video cameras. It automates lights, sirens, gun-lock and radio, connecting officers to mission critical intelligence through a public safety broadband network. Data applications can be installed on a rugged workstation, which is used inside and outside the vehicle.
