What will you be speaking about at CCW 2022? Why is that an important topic?
I’m talking on several topics this year. They include TETRA applications and making the most out of existing technology, in the TETRA Focus Forum; mission critical devices, in the Mission Critical Broadband Forum; and a panel discussion on TETRA applications.
What are the key messages that you would like people to take away after attending your sessions?
The importance of making the most of the technology you have in your hands today, and understanding how this can evolve in the future.
What do you see as being the big issues and challenges for the sector over the next five years?
With technological change on the horizon - and several new emerging technologies - it’s tempting to propose, or provide, all sorts of fantastic sounding products. [However], it’s important that we don’t lose sight of the fact that we need to provide solutions that get the basics right.
This is to allow mission critical users to continue to perform their jobs uninterrupted by any change in technology. Of course, we must always look to add additional value.
What will be the most transformative development in terms of the technology? What should be the number one priority for the sector going into the future?
Ensuring that, whatever we produce for our users, it must be truly mission critical.
What are you most looking forward to at CCW 2022 in Vienna? Are there any conference sessions in particular that have caught your attention?
I'm looking forwards to meeting many people that I haven’t seen for quite a few years.
Critical Communications World 2022 takes place between 21-23 June at the Messe Vienna, Austria.
