Airbus Defence and Space has described its contribution to the ongoing modernisation of Belgium’s TETRA network.
Appearing at this year’s ASTRID user event, which took place earlier this month near Brussels, the company also presented a range of solutions intended to improve the capacity and security the network.
Speaking of work currently being undertaken, Airbus Defence and Space’s Olivier Koczan said: “We are designing the ASTRID network of the future in close cooperation with Belgian authorities. Consequently, ASTRID will become more efficient and user-friendly.”
Belgian government ministers Jan Jambon and Koen Geens, said that plans for the network’s upgrade were ready to be implemented.
The two user days were visited by approximately 1,500 visitors, including policemen, firefighters and other PMR end users. Airbus Defence and Space products on display at the show included its hand-held radio/smartphone Tactilon Dabat, and it’s broadband-integrating Tactilon suite.
