This means that ESChat customers on T-Mobile can communicate with other ESChat users on any other wireless network, without the need for hardware gateways or special software versions. T-Mobile PTT users can also communicate while using Wi-Fi or while roaming abroad. The ESChat/T-Mobile PTT service was soft-launched six months ago.
The PTT service is priced at $5/month and includes secure push-to-talk, live location tracking and mapping, and secure group multimedia messaging. It supports Android and iOS smartphones, a limited selection of 'basic' phones, and Windows PCs. As all the components of the ESChat ecosystem are available to T-Mobile customers, they also have access to Land Mobile Radio (LMR) integration using RoIP (radio over IP), ISSI (P25 inter radio frequency subsystem interface) and AIS (application interface specification) interfaces, mission-critical call recording/logging using SIPREC (SIP Recording) or span-port interfaces, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) and Console interfaces using CSSI (console subsystem interface) and AIS.
