The disaster left more than 90 people dead and hundreds more injured.
Following the earthquake, Hytera suggested a comms solution made up of advanced DMR portable radios, mobile radios and repeaters. PMI used these to help provide medical support to survivors, while also helping to evacuate people from coastal areas.
Speaking of the donation, Gwendolyn Pang, head of East Asia International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), said: "I was informed that Hytera had delivered 50 units of portable radios and other equipment to the Indonesian Red Cross office in Jakarta. The IFRC and Indonesian Red Cross welcomes more donations for the earthquake operation. IFRC would like to establish a regional or global partnership with Hytera.”
A spokesperson for the company said: "Hytera is committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities by leveraging cutting-edge technology to support rescue and relief operations on a global scale."
