The company currently provides TETRAPOL technology for SITNO, which is the national network used by Slovakian security personnel. According to a statement, it is also supporting the modernisation of the critical communications network via the introduction of its Tactilon Agnet collaboration platform.
Speaking about the new office, Airbus head of sales for the Slovak Republic, Philippe Devos, said: “This is part of a long-term growth strategy which brings us closer to our customers. They will now be able to receive dedicated support and talk to Airbus employees who are at hand and speak the local language."
Jacques Garrigue, Airbus international vice president for Central Europe, said: “This step is going to strengthen our position across the country, targeting growth in the defense and security sectors, as well as in the helicopter domain. We are also delighted to be able to contribute to the industrial ecosystem and employment.”
The Airbus Slovakia office currently employs 6 people.
