According to a statement from Leonardo, the partnership will see the company providing a “mission-critical, multi-technology, and multi-user communication system.” It anticipates that the roll-out will “mark a crucial step in promoting the effective coordination of field operators.”
The spokesperson continued: “Leonardo’s innovative solutions will help ensure a unique experience for all participants in the Games. [This will be] supported by its technological leadership and extensive experience in secure communications for major events.”
Leonardo CEO and general manager, Roberto Cingolani, said: "Thanks to the partnership with the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, Leonardo is supporting a project that strengthens the country's international image while promoting the universal values of sport.

The event will follow a decentralised model, taking place across the regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as two autonomous provinces - Trento and Bolzano -, and the cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
