As well as developing MCPTT software products based on open standards, the Nemergent team works alongside integrators and service providers to provide consolidated MCPTT solutions tailored to individual customer needs.
Through the Nemergent Initiative, the company strives to uphold open standards and conformance testing. Some company members devote part of their time to contribute to standards development, and Nemergent participates in the ETSI MCPTT Plugtests events.
Nemergent also supports the Mission Critical Open Platform project, which is driven by the US Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). MCOP aims to meet the challenges of the emerging and complex MCPTT ecosystem by defining, developing and validating an open platform that identifies neat interfaces between the different technologies and reduces the effort required to integrate them.
Jose Oscar Fajardo, CEO at Nemergent Solutions, said: “Nemergent supports the application of open international standards as the best way to transform the mission critical communications ecosystem. And TCCA is the best playground to promote this effort.”
“We share the key beliefs of Nemergent, which are open standards, open interfaces and open systems,” said TCCA chief executive Tony Gray. “We welcome their knowledge and expertise in MCPTT and look forward to their support as we continue to drive the market forward.”
