Motorola Solutions has launched the DIMETRA Express, an expandable single-site TETRA digital radio system, designed to be deployed in 15 minutes or less.
According to the company, the device operates as a ‘one-box’ system, integrating base radios alongside an onboard switch, to enable voice, short data services (SDS) and telephony. It can be set up using a Windows or Android laptop or tablet, and subsequently managed through web-based applications.
Speaking of the product, Bruce Brda, executive vice president, products and services at Motorola Solutions said: “TETRA is the robust and reliable communications backbone of businesses and organisations around the world. Motorola Solutions is continuously working with customers to enhance and invest in future leading TETRA solutions.”
He continued: “DIMETRA Express is an exciting product to bring to market as it meets the ‘5 Cs’ of land and professional mobile radio – coverage, capacity, cost, control and capabilities.”
The DIMETRA Express follows products including the DIMETRA IP Micro, DIMETRA IP Compact and DIMETRA IP Scalable. It was launched at Critical Communications Europe, which is taking place this week in Copenhagen.
