The Peruvian government is using its ACCESSNET-T IP TETRA radio system from Hytera to integrate new handsets and increase the security for its citizens and react quicker to emergencies.
The district of Los Olivos, in the province of Lima, has added a total of 150 PT580H handheld radios, two stationary MT680 radios and AVL applications into the existing system operated by the Policía Nacional del Perú (PNP). This requires integration into the existing PNP TETRA system for the transmission of voice, data and video surveillance. The organisations for public security in Los Olivos are in direct contact with the Policía Nacional, Emergency 105, police stations and smartpatrols. Mayor Pedro del Rosario officially inaugurated the modern security system in Los Olivos.
"We are the first district to have 150 radios and that communicates directly with the Policía Nacional del Perú,” said Rosario. “This radio communication not only permits voice communication, it is also possible to send data."
