According to a statement, the company is delivering the project in cooperation with its telecommunication technology partner, Opencode Systems. The contract was awarded by Virve 2 operator Erillisverkot earlier this month.
The SIM OTA platform is designed enable the remote management/updating of Virve 2 SIM cards, thereby ensuring user access to the “latest network features and security enhancements.”

Virve is a narrowband based public safety network, used by emergency services and public authorities across Finland. Virve 2 is currently under development, with anticipated roll-out in the coming years.
