The first of these to be supplied is a metro line in Heifei, the capital of Anhui Province. Airbus will supply its Taira Switch Server (which supports the evolution to hybrid/LTE networks), a number of TB3 base stations and more than 600 TETRA terminals. The metro is 33 kilometres in length and has the same number of stations. The TETRA system is currently being implemented and is scheduled to go into operation at the end of this year.
The second metro line is located in Foshan, part of the Guangdong Province in the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone. The city’s metro line 2 is more than 32 kilometres long, with 17 stations. It will be equipped with equipped with a Taira Switch Server, several TB3 base stations and about 600 TH1n handsets and TMR880i mobile radios.
Qingdao, a city in the Shangdong Province, has chosen Airbus for the third time to supply TETRA technology to a new metro line. It will supply new TB3 Base stations and more than 700 terminals to the metro line 3.
