This contract enables fire brigades and rescue services within North Rhine-Westphalia to upgrade the software of the installed base of more than 45,000 terminals to the latest BDBOS IOP certified software from Sepura. These and any new terminals added to the fleet can also be upgraded to software planned to be released in 2019 from Sepura.
Sepura terminal software upgrades include the latest BDBOS features and are further enhanced with new features (around talkgroup functionality and the information displayed on the screen), which have been developed based on feedback from German public safety users.
