According to the company, it will deploy an end-to-end solution, consisting of a switching control node, and base stations alongside its SC20 handheld terminals. The system will be managed via Teltronic's command and control centre (CeCoCo).
The Gold line will handle around 47,000 passengers a day. It will link to two other lines - Green and Purple – on the Bangkok network.
Speaking of the roll-out, APAC regional director for Teltronic, Josep Jonch said: “We feel honoured to have [system integrator] AMR Asia’s trust to provide the mission critical communications for the Gold line project. Thailand [will be] a key country for us in the coming years.”
